Fernando Alonso is currently the oldest F1 racer on the grid; something that shows how determined and relentless the Spaniard truly is. He’s been with many teams across the years, first making his F1 debut with Minardi in 2001. He was left without a race seat in 2002, but rejoined the team, now branded Renault, in 2003. In 2005, still with Renault, Alonso won his first Championship before repeating the same in 2006 to become a two-time World Champion. Afterwards he moved to Mclaren for a year, and after failing to make it three titles in a row, he moved back to Renault for a disappointing two years. He jumped around some more before eventually landing at Aston Martin in 2023, where he has remained since and is still hoping to get back to winning ways.
Last year’s Championship placing: 8th
