The British driver joined Mclaren in 2019 and began his debut season in Formula One the same year. He impressed the team in orange after winning the FIA Formula 3 title and then going on to place second in Formula 2. Norris’s rookie season had him paired with a more experienced Carlos Sainz and he delivered the best he could with a car that wasn’t on top performance-wise, ending the season just outside of a top-10 championship placing. The year after saw him earn his maiden podium, and more followed over the next few years. Lando Norris also carries the unfortunate record of most podiums without a win (15). Eventually he ended the count when he stood on the top step at the Miami Grand Prix in 2024. That same year, he also helped Mclaren seal their first Constructors Championship since 1998. He only stepped up further in 2025, as he went on to earn his first World Championship title after a thrilling battle.
