George Russell took two years in Formula 3, his first year only resulting in sixth place, and his second year better as he ended the Championship third. 2017 brought a GP3 title, and then a year later he won the Formula 2 Championship. The year after Russell was ready to jump to Formula One, and he did so with a debut with Williams. In 2020 the Brit subbed in for Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes and could’ve had the chance to win the race if it hadn’t been for an unfortunate puncture. After showing that he had what it took, Russell joined Mercedes for 2022, and during that season he won his maiden Grand Prix win at the Sao Paulo GP.
