Lance Stroll will Miss Spanish Grand Prix: Aston Martin Announcement

It has been announced by the team Aston Martin that Lance Stroll will not be participating in the Spanish Grand Prix due to a medical procedure after feeling pain in his hand and wrist.

A statement released by the team read: “Over the course of the past six weeks Lance has been experiencing pain in his hand and wrist, which his medical consultant believes is in relation to the procedure he underwent in 2023.

“As a result his medical team have confirmed that he will not race tomorrow and he will undergo a procedure to rectify these issues before focusing on his recovery.”

The procedure Lance had gone through during the 2023 pre-season was caused by fractures and a broken toe after a cycling incident.

Lance Stroll had participated in the Qualifying session earlier this morning, where he finished in fourteenth place. His teammate, Fernando Alonso, qualified P10, and will be Aston Martin’s only hope for points this Grand Prix. However, that puts extra pressure of Alonso, as the Spaniard still hasn’t managed to get points of his own so far in 2025.
