Max Verstappen Surges to Impressive Pole Ahead of Norris and Antonelli

Q1 Report:

Verstappen was the driver to set the quickest time in Q1 ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while the Red Bull driver’s teammate also managed to continue on to Q2. Both Mercedes and Ferrari drivers have also made it, even though Ferrari’s pace doesn’t seem to be the best, with Hamilton and Leclerc only going eighth and twelfth fastest respectively. Both Williams have been looking strong all weekend, and that hasn’t changed so far, while Gabriel Bortoleto managed to get his Kick Sauber through to Q2.

The drivers that have been eliminated are Nico Hulkenberg, Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly, Lance Stroll, and Ollie Bearman, who has qualified last yet again.

Q2 Report:

Piastri put together a lovely lap this Q2 to put himself quickest so far, and ahead of his teammate Lando Norris. Both Mercedes follow as they appear to have some good pace in them, while the Ferraris not so much. While Charles Leclerc was eighth and escaped into Q3, Hamilton was not so lucky and is eliminated after finished P3 in the Miami Sprint. Both Red Bulls have made it to Q3, as have both Williams and the Haas of Esteban Ocon. It’s looking to be a close battle for pole and for the rest of the positions behind.

The drivers that will not be continuing to Q3 are Isack Hadjar, Lewis Hamilton, Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan, and Liam Lawson.

Q3 Report:

Verstappen has done it once more and has managed to slam in a massively impressive lap time to take pole position ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. His closest challenger was Lando Norris, who was about 0.065s off the top place. The Championship leader Oscar Piastri only managed fourth, with Kimi Antonelli between the two McLarens. But Max Verstappen is the driver who earned pole position, something that will bring him great joy, especially on his first race as a father. Now the question is who will come out on top by the end of the first lap of the Grand Prix on Sunday.
