The second free practice session of the race weekend was mostly uneventful, aside from the spin into the gravel Ollie Bearman suffered, which kept him and his car in the garage for longer than most while the assessed any damage. By the end of the session, Piastri was the driver who set the quickest time, and behind him was George Russell and Max Verstappen, who set an identical lap time to Norris in fourth and was only ahead due to the Red Bull driver setting the time first. Farther down the field we witnessed a second pair of twin lap times, this time between fifteenth and sixteenth placed Albon and Stroll. However, that was about as much excitement the second practice session brought, and now we’ll await the third on Saturday.
