The last session of the race weekend was mostly uneventful, with two exceptions. Ollie Bearman had another accident, where he dipped a wheel in the grass and ended up beached in the gravel at turn 11. The Brit’s first weekend as a full-time F1 driver has not been going smoothly so far; hopefully qualifying will be better for the young Ollie. A red flag was waved due to the accident and cut the total time of the session to 49 minutes. Another rookie, Liam Lawson, had a Power Unit system problem which caused him to finish at the bottom of the timesheets by the end of the session. On the opposite side, Australian Oscar Piastri set the fastest lap, in the 1:15s, followed by George Russell and Max Verstappen, who seemed to gain a little more pace than he had for the previous two practices.
Below are the complete results from the final practice in Australia.
