Pierre Gasly crossed the line in China just outside of the points, however he was later disqualified for the same reason as Charles Leclerc. Gasly’s Alpine came in at 800 kg when it was weighed, which is the minimum weight required. After 1.1 liters of fuel were removed per Alpine’s submitted draining procedures, the car now weighed 799 kg, one kilogram under the minimum.
After the situation was reviewed, the Alpine driver was consequently disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix.
