Valtteri Bottas debuted in Formula One for Williams in 2013, before catching the eye of Mercedes, which was the championship winning team at the time. He stepped up to partner Lewis Hamilton, but could never manage a championship of his own, and despite his impressive talent, often found himself in the seat of the second driver. In 2022 he was dropped by Mercedes and joined Alfa Romeo, which later became Kick Sauber. The team struggled in Formula One, and Bottas soon found himself back at Mercedes as reserve driver. However, 2026 will bring a new chapter for the Finn, as he joins Cadillac in their new venture joining the F1 grid.
