Norris goes Quickest in First Practice Session of 2025

The first practice session of not only the race weekend but also the 2025 season has ended with Lando Norris in his McLaren setting the fastest time of 1:17.252, ahead of the unexpected Williams’ of Carlos Sainz. Charles Leclerc rounded out the top three for Ferrari. However, the session was not without its excitements, as we first saw a red flag 20 minutes in due to Doohan running off the track and spraying gravel, but it was over after only two minutes. Later, with 17 minutes left in the session, Ollie Bearman’s Haas slid into the gravel and hit the wall, causing not only another red flag but also significant damage to the car. With 11 minutes to go, practice resumed. But it wasn’t over, when George Russell spun off the track and brought out the yellow flag after dipping a tire into the grass. The Brit managed to avoid the wall and get the car going again, which meant the green flag was waved shortly after.

Below is the full results of the first practice session of the year.
