Norris Fastest in an FP2 with Two Red Flags

The second practice session at the Zandvoort Circuit was full of drama and red flags, with Lando Norris topping the time-sheets by the end. 10 minutes into the session red flags were waved when Lance Stroll suffered a big crash at Turn 3. Luckily the Aston Martin driver was okay, however had to sit out for the rest of the session. When practice resumed, many drivers drove back out, but a virtual safety car was quickly deployed after Isack Hadjar’s Racing Bulls came to a stop on his out-lap due to technical issues. Once his car was recovered, the drivers got plenty of runs in, until, with just over 20 minutes remaining, Alex Albon went off at Turn 1 and damaged his front wing before getting his Williams beached in the gravel. Red flags were waved, but the session was able to resume shortly after. When the practice had ended, Norris was fastest, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Oscar Piastri. George Russell finished P4, with Verstappen behind in fifth.
